Google Sitemap: For SEO.
To make money blogging, you will need to get visitors. Having good SEO (search engine optimization) will help the Search Engines drive traffic to your blog. But first, you have to tell the search engines you exist! Now that your blog has existed for two weeks, you should actively inform Google you exist.
How do you do that? Create a site map and ping Google!
If you have run your blog using WordPress (and if you’ve been following my advice you are) then get Google Sitemaps Generator. Obtain the plug in and install it.
Next, visit your admin panel; under “options” find sitemap. Follow the directions and leave all the options checkd. Click, update.
Your blog will now regularly ping which tells the Google spider your blog exists and you have made changes. At some point or another, (usually rather quickly) Google will send the spider around.
Once the spider visits, it will look around, learn what you blog about and eventually, when someone enters a search term related to your site, Google will send you visitors.
