Adsense Deluxe: Simplifies Your Life

Did you know there is a WordPress plugin that makes it easy to insert Google Adsense of Yahoo! Publisher Network ads into your blog? It’s called Adsense Deluxe. Once you install it, you can insert ads without fiddling with long javascipt codes.

Instead, you will be able to include ads in your blog posts by using a pull down menu to insert tags that look like this: <!-adsense#200by200->

WordPress will then substitute an ad in a Google format corresponding to that particular tag.

If you’d like to insert an ad somewhere in your blog template outside posts, you insert this snippet of PHP: <?php adsense_deluxe_ads(‘Ad_Name’); ?>

Much easier than adding a bunch of javascript!

Notice the ‘Ad_Name’ passed to the plugin? You can pre-load a number of different ad formats; the tag ‘Ad_Name’ is the name you assigned to a particular ad format. I named the square ad above, right 200by200. Below, you can see my default ad format:

I bet you’re worried that you’ll be stuck with these ad formats forever? That someday, you’ll change your blog format and want to modify the add color or size?

Don’t worry! Should you ever change my theme and colors, using Adsense Deluxe, you can easily edit each ad format and modify the colors and sizes of the ads inserted everywhere in my blog. That will make it easy to keep your blog looking good forever.

My adsense deluxe keeps disappearing. I need to figure out what happened. I admit that I have been a lazy blogger lately though. . .
