Horrors! This must be an error!

Let’s see: I plead innocent on 2, 4, 5, 6 and 7. As for the others… Traffic less than 5000 page views? Notwithstanding my rocking Alexa score: Yep! Not professionally designed? Yep! Limited content? Yep!

I guess it’s not an error. Big Bucks Blogger was rejected for being a small, new niche blog little traffic. Fair enough!

Hey, but look, while I was crafting my rejection post, I got this:

Dear Publisher,

Clicksor: Make more money blogging!

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

Like Kontera ads? Also like Adsense? If you like both, you may also like Clicksor! I just learned about this contextual ad service which may combine the best of both Kontera like Adsense (and possibly more)

I haven’t tried them yet, but I am checking them out. So far, I’ve discovered:

  • You can run either inline contextual links, targeted contextual ads in the form of banners, pop-unders, ads in feeds and search box ads. (I’m not a fan of pop-unders, but I’m sure no blogger is forced to use them.)
  • You can choose cost per click (CPC), cost per thousand impressions (CPM) and cost per visit (CPV) earnings metrics
  • You can earn up to 70% revenue share. (The words up to always bother me- obviously that could be worded: the middleman takes at least 30%. But, since you aren’t going to get these contextual ads on your own, that may be fine.)

Obviously, I’m applying (with my “thedietdairy.com” address. That’s the site with traffic.)

I’ll let you know more when I learn more. Heck, if I’m accepted, I’ll write a “Clicksor Control” plugin to let you run these ads with Sponsored ads! :)
