More Money: AdBrite + AdSense Deluxe

Thursday, August 2nd, 2007

Today, I noticed adBrite has a nifty feature to help bloggers boost our profits: They let publishers specify a) an alternate ad program (for example, Google adSense and b) a minimum eCPM you will accept from adBrite ad campaigns. If the adBrite ads returns more than Google AdSense, we can display AdBrite; otherwise, you can display the Google adSense ads.

The more profitable ad program is seleted automatically, so as our blog reputations improve with advertisers, we can sit back and earn passive income on both new and old blog posts. Now that’s a great option bloggers!

Of course, in my case, I want to run these ads conveniently and retroactively without editing my 100 or posts I’ve already published.

Lucky for me I’ve installed the “adSense Deluxe” plugin which lets me manage these ads very easily.

Today, I’ll show you how to:

  1. Set your AdBrite requirements including your minimum price.
  2. Insert the AdBrite ads into AdSense Deluxe.
  3. Insert the AdSense Code into your blog posts.
  4. Describe how to edit the code so you can automatically modify every ad in every blog post in one fell swoop

Exoclick + Adsense Deluxe= Easy Money.

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

Monday, I told you about Exoclick, a pay-per-click (PPC) program matches ads to key words a blogger selects. Both John Chow and I think that for some bloggers, this program may be more profitable than contextual programs like AdSense or Kontera.

To maximize profits on PPC ads, you need to place them in profitable locations. But many bloggers have difficulty positioning them in the high profit spots. Today, I’m going to show you how easy it can be to insert Exoclick ads or into your blog content where the click rate is high. I use this same easy method to insert AdSense and Auction Ads (but it’s doesn’t quite work for Clicksor.)

Notice how I am inserting my PayPerClick ads near the second paragraph of text? That’s where people who read the first paragraph and decided not to read further are very likely to click. Those clicks earn big bucks. They could help you make money online too!

How to Insert PPC Ads in Content With Ease!

You can insert ExoClick ads in just a four easy steps! And “four steps” includes signing up with Exoclick! After you insert your first ad, inserting later ads will require only one easy step!

Konteral Control Extended to Adsense

Friday, July 6th, 2007

Kontera Control can now be applied to either Kontera ads or Adsense ads inside posts. You can:

  1. Keep ads out of one category of sponsored posts forever.
  2. Keep them out for a specified number of days (for example, 30 days to ensure payment by Pay Per Post.)
  3. Keep them out of all posts to avoid bombarding your regular readers with ads.

On this blog, I am controlling Kontera ads, but not Adsense which I permit to appear immediately. However, since many more people have Adsense accounts, I decided to create a pulldown menu and let you apply the same logic to controlling Adsense.

Controlling Adsense ads requires ads be inserted in posts using the adSense Deluxe plugin for WordPress. (That plugin makes it much easier to insert Adsense ads in posts.)

To install the new Kontera plugin, download: Download Kontera Control . Unzip. Upload to your plugin directory. Read : How to use Kontera Control. (My instructions are slightly outdated; they don’t include information about adsense, which I just added to the plugin. However, if you have questions, just ask!)
