How To Make Money Selling Kindle eBooks 2016
One of the best ways to make money online in 2016 is kindle publishing, meaning, you write or have someone write an ebook for you, publish it on kindles marketplace, and make money from royalties ( every time your ebook sales on amazon - you make a commission).
Recently, I got into kindle publishing and my ebook, eBay Selling Mastery 2016 (get your copy by clicking the link), is already making me a good passive income. Obviously its priced very low (99cents) for the value it gives people (I always love to over-deliver), but it still makes me money, and I will raise the price soon.
In this post, I will reveal the process I went through to publish my ebook on amazon kindle, step by step.
Within 4 simple (but not easy) steps, you can have your ebook on amazon kindle as well, making you a passive income.
Now lets say you make $50 a month from your kindle ebook, which isn’t a lot and its definitely not hard to achieve, as an additional passive income.
What if you had 100 ebooks, each making you $50/month ? thats the secret. That’s $5,000, in completely passive income after you published the ebooks.
And thats possible, in fact, my goal is to have 100 ebooks up & running on amazon kindle, by the end of 2016.
It wasn’t easy to publish my first ebook, I read and learned a lot, even joined a course, called Kindle Money Mastery by a guy named Stefan Palyros (or something like that) ,but eventually, it took me just 1 week since the moment I made the decision to publish on kindle, to the moment my ebook was on it.
STEP 1 : Join “The K Money Mastery Course”
I believe that almost anything you want to achieve, someone else already achieved it, know how to achieve it, or achieved something very similar, and can help you / mentor you / give you some highly effective tips in order to get your goals.
So I went on and looked for a kindle publishing course, and I like to buy courses from people who already had some success in this field. This guy Stefan P, is all over the place when it comes to kindle publishing, which shows me he is the authority in that field. which is true.

Step 2 : Pick a niche for your kindle ebook
This is probably the most crucial step. If you won’t pick the right niche, even if you write the best ebook in the whole world, you won’t make any money.
Imagine spending a lot of time, and energy, on writing an ebook about the evolution of horses, just to find out - no one cares about horses at all !
Before you even pick a niche, have these questions in mind :
- Is there a big enough audience for this ebook ?
- Are people willing to spend money in that niche ? ( for instance, weight loss is one of the most profitable niches out there, but also the most competitive)
- Can I create better / more valuable ebook then there are right now on amazon ?
- How many competitor are there and how can I dominate them ?
In the KMoneyMastery course, there are 2 chapters on niche research that helped me pick my niche, once I looked around, saw that people are actually spending money on ebooks like mine, and I also noticed that most of the ebooks out there, don’t provide any value !
I mean 90% of them were teaching people “how to register an ebay account” or “how to list an item on ebay”. You can find a ton of free information about that on google, why would anyone pay to read that ?

Step 3 : Writing Your Kindle eBook & Getting a Cover Designed
Picked your niche? awesome. Time to write your ebook.
But what if you picked a niche you know nothing about ? or what if you don’t have the time to write an ebook ? maybe you just want to play pokemon instead of writing your ebook ? hi, im not judging.
In that case, consider outsourcing it.
Go to Odesk.com or Fiverr.com, find a good writer, pay him (your ebook doesn’t need to be extremely long ! ) and you have your ebook !
I wrote my ebook myself because I love writing plus its a subject that I personally know a ton about, so I enjoyed writing it. But you don’t have to.
If you do choose to write your own kindle ebook, here are a few tips :
- Don’t dwell on perfect spelling, you’re not an author and thats fine.
- Provide more value than your best selling competitors ( if you’re writing a recipe ebook, and they wrote 100 recipes, you write 150 recipes, got it ? more value )
- Look at other ebooks and see how they were written
- Get ebay selling mastery and copy the structure of my ebook, or join the KMoneyMastery and download their form.
Your book doesn’t need to be perfect, you’re not J.K Rowling and thats ok.
Your ebook simply needs to provide MORE VALUE than your main competitors. Thats it.
Once you understand that, you will succeed on kindle publishing (Btw the same applies to almost all areas of your life. No need to procrastinate on everything)
When it comes to the cover, its crucial that you have one.
Most people are lazy and don’t even read the title of your ebook, instead they will click on the image ( cover) and based on your cover, will choose if they will buy your ebook or not.
I recommend Fiverr.com, simply search for ‘kindle cover design’ and choose someone with a good portfolio, give him $5, tell him what your book is about and whats your title, and you’re done.
Thats what I did, and look at the result :
Now is that gorgeous or what ? I paid $5 for it. Plus I got a flat one (this one is 3d).
Step 4 : uploading your ebook to kindle & marketing your ebook
Once you have your cover, and your ebook ready, upload them to kdp.amazon.com.
You will need to inesrt a title, subtitle, and description for your ebook.
The title and description both play a very important roll in selling your ebook and ranking it higher on amazon’s search engine.
Make sure the title & description are well written, and also contain the keywords you are trying to rank for !
Like I said, writing a good title takes time, effort and experience. Thats why I recommend watching the “how to write a title that sells” video on the KMM course.
How to market and sell your kindle ebook
After your ebook is on kindles platform, you will need to sell it, and get reviews.
At first, if you can’t sell it for 99 cents, I recommend listing it as FREE.
That will get you some reviews, higher rankings, and then you can start charging for it.
However, here are some places you can market and get sales to your kindle ebook at :
- Forums in your industry / niche
- Social media (facebook, twitter, youtube and so on)
- Friends & family
- Blogs in your industry
- Paid ads (google, bing, facebook…)
There are so many places you can post a link to your ebook at, I mean if you take action and write a book I promise to write your first review, ill help you, no problem !
Just make sure you get enough reviews in order to beat your competition ( see how many they have, and get a few more, simple as that).
